Sunny day - so went for a bimble today around Norfolkshire.

Ended up in a pub/restaurant, The Bird in Hand in Wreningham, it's has a pleasant Bar, a couple of sizable restaurants and a garden; also a large car park. Would be a good place for a east-East Anglia Tossers meet.

Never realised what a 'proper road' road the the A1066 between Thetford and Diss is - wide fast, undulating and good surface - and hurrah! deserted this morning. The B111, B114, B113 from Garboldisham through Banham, New Buckenham to Wreningham make for an entertaining fast/slow ride too.
 
:nono.......Thats totaly unfair, there are no decent roads in Narfolk. Please don't be ah playing these ere tricks on folks. Its all tractors, mud, and slippy slimey roads up here, oh yes bor, an far worst when its haarvest time.





PS. Heard you come past, makes a nice change from the jap power rangers noise. :D

Why on earth not? All that concrete, the road works. It's a work of great beauty and civic pride. In 50 years time people all over the world will ask "Where were you when the guided busway opened?"

It's a technological marvel; however it remains to be seen whether or not anyone will use it - I suspect the cost of it will mean that fares will not be low enough for most to bother getting out of their cars - fares have to be kept really, really low to encourage people to use it, otherwise 'the mis-guided bus' will become a 'white elephant'

Now back to the point of this post -
NORFOLK HAS SOME REALLY GREAT NON-SLIPPY, NON-SLIMY, NON-TRACTOR INFESTED ROADS.

Sorry Noddy but the secret is out :D

And did you keep to the 30 limited through my village - South Lopham?

I am reading Ted Simon's book 'Jupiters Travels' at the mo, and I quote "the problem with Diss is that when you get closer it becomes more 'dis'tant" :D

For the record, I love riding in Norfolk, one of my fave's routes to Norwich is up to the coast, not stopping at Hunstanton (too many posers), fish & chips on the harbour in Wells-next-the-Sea (odd name!), around to Cromer and drop down into Narwich. Gonna be doing this on Friday (10th).
