They tell me when cornering my feet only just miss the deck which concerns me !! I am 6'3 with size 12 plates of meat, the problem seems to be that because my legs are long my toes point down. ANY IDEARS?

Ride with the balls of your feet (only) on the pegs, with knees gripping the tank for better control. If this scenario is unobtainable, you need to make adjustments/modifications to hardware....

You could always try a small wedge shaped chisel to work a groove in front of your footpegs!

Lots of sporties have a skid plate on the outside of their toes - seems to be a common problem !

6'3" with size 12 feet?
Ride how you like, I'm not going to tell you any different.

Move your feet back on the pegs and straighten them up so they're not splayed.

Wind the preload on a bit as well.

I suspect you're not going fast enough and keeping the bike too upright in the corners. With size 12 feet you should be dragging your toes on the ground on almost every corner.

ride with flat foot n just before the bend sit on the ball of ye foot, this will also get ye into a position and a frame of mind to throw it round the bend n scrape the bars on the deck :D

ugg..x streetfighter rider n ..plastic rocket chaser, goad er :D:D:D

paintman, I'm 5'9" so a relative shortass, but as alimey4u2 points out, bring your feet back, I ride with the balls of my feet on the pegs only, I feel it gives you more control, when relaxed on the highway then I move my feet around to stretch a little.

works for me, anyway if you have good boots on, touching to ground will warn you when you are over to far without damage... so maybe you need to get out there and try it and see just how close you are. You may find that that little extra to actually touch down is beyond your normal riding style, so problem sovled without doing anything.

My thoughts exactly.................!Think they call it trigonometry!

I'm 6'6" wi size 12's and I've built 1.5" lower/wider/swivelling pegs so I can change the angle of my feet and lift my toes as I corner. Kinda based on the Fastaways (I think) but homemade.
Also butchered (lowered) the brake pedal for the angle of my feet.
I like an advanced pace and I scrape my toes occasionally if I forget to lift them and point them inwards, but you get used to it.

Get rid of the bike and get a 12GSA much better ground clearance:thumb

Or to add the balance that so many insecure tossers seem to need, perhaps an 1150 would be better, much slower & without the fine handling that encourages toe scraping:D

You see, this is where being a shortarsed, skinny little runt with size 7 feet actually pays off. :D

My toes drag when I forget to put the balls of my feet (size 12) on my pegs while enjoying the corners :D I do have some titanium supermoto sliders screwed to the bottoms of my Sidis that spark quite well when I take the fancy, very impressive when coming home in the dark too  :D

These are what you want :thumb2 http://www.reflexracing.co.uk/supermoto_boot_kits.htm I don`t use all of the slider only a couple of inches I`ve cut off & screwed to the sole otherwise it`s imossible to walk anywhere!

Top tip= when you cut them don`t use a grinder ;) :D Joking aside though they`re dead easy to cut and drill whith a hacksaw and battery drill :thumb2

Knowing my luck I'd probably stick one of them screws in me big toe.
And then it'd let in the rain.
