Were do you stick it?

I mean were do you mount your GPS unit? I've got a Quest and will be ordering the RAM mounts. Is it best to mount it on the handlebars and chuck away that silly BMW pad thing? Or is there somewere better?

Mine is mounted on the RAM arm bit that came with my Quest from GPSW. It's attached to the bars just to the left of the ignition and angled so that I can still see the bottom of the RID. Easy to reach the buttons / read the screen / keep thieving chavs away.

I have mine in the same place as Twotter, except on the opposite side and given the small size of the screen, I can see it perfectly, it doesn't obstruct any of the instrument cluster and doesn't take long to glance at the smaller details (distance to next turn, speed etc) and return to focussing back on the road..

When I mounted mine on the bars, I used some clear tape to protect the surface on the bars from scratching etc.. This does allow a small amount of freedom of movement in the mount, however, to date it hasn't budged an inch..
