Well, I am glad some of you had a good ride and thanks to Zach for taking over after my fuel pump failed 4 miles from home. I then spent 5 and a half hours waiting for the AA to get the bike home 
How biking has changed. I can remember the day when you always stopped for a stranded biker, if only to ask if they needed anything (a working phone would have been really useful yesterday) but 15 bikes went past me, including five GSs, and none stopped, except for a guy on a green Triumph who pulled up ten yards behind my bike, took a photograph of it and then rode off without a word
!
Good to see seven of us in the evening (I eventually got there thanks to the reliable Honda
)
