I've been really enjoying my Twat suit of late, linings out and feeling really smug as all the leather clad heros sweat away as I let the air flow through!

Left the house this morning in the dry, got half way to work and torrential rain  lo and behold, the water flows through just as well as the air does!

I know, I know, should have checked the forecast :blast and zipped the goretex back in!

Not feeling quite so smug sat at my desk all morning with a very wet shirt having to explain why over and over :o
:blast:blast:blast:blast:blast:blast

Have you considered ...

... Halvarssons; waterproof even without the liner, and half the price of a twat suit :nenau

Have you considered carrying a rainsuit with you.

Thinking of doing that with the Savanna / Santiago suits if on a summer holiday as I reckon I'm more likely to hit rain showers, and putting on the goretex inners is a bit of a faff by the side of the road in the rain :o

Going up to Scotland though would probably keep the liners in to either keep out the cold, or rain, or midges :tears Last couple of weeks prove the exception to the rule :D

...but when it's raining persistently, I find the twat suit crap!

Having the gortex on the inside means that the suit just absorbs the water and you just end up soaked anyway.

I ended up buying a decent HG suit instead.

that's what i do. bmw do a very waterproof two piece for less than a oner. much cheaper than the jacket liner alone.

that way i get the benefit of the cool jacket when it's hot + i can easily make it waterproof. i actually have a liner, but only use it if it's a bit nippy.

if i know it's going to be cold and wet, visiting wales say, i take the rukka :D

Never had the goretex inners leak on my suits :)

But, when it first rains and the liner stops the rain feels like it's leaking as it's colder. :(

Two benefits I guess of having the goretex on the inside is that it stops it getting as dirty = better breathability + rain stopping and if you fall off, the suit will hopefully still be waterproof.

You'll be a TWAT then :thumb2

Anonymous, is this where you start cursing me for letting you test ride my GS a couple of years ago. If i had only known that you would turn into full twat suit wearing, GSA riding and full on family man, i would never have offered. Or maybe you are just following my impeccable sense of motorcycle fashion.:thumb
