Just had a browse of this, thanks to Stuart Jenkins:beerjug:

Cosmo of Hastings

Proper old shool, sense of humour shines through

Love the Hall of Shame sections, plus some lovely bikes in Motorcycle Porn

Hope Tarka,Proff and Steptoe have a browse......................right up their street:thumb

Excellent find JB. :beerjug: :thumb

Currently sobbing nostalgic tears and thinking back to the days of 'proper bikes'. :tears
And all the ones I could have bought cheap as chips 'back in the day'.

Keen to see how much the TR6T will be listed for.
Despite it being somewhat of a factory lash up I always liked the look and fancied owning one of the big booming yellow beasts.
They go for uber silly money when a rare sale happens.

Thanks again. :thumb2

Hmmm , don't fancy the prices on either the FS1E or the 900SS on closer inspection, or the Z1 come to that.

'Real bike shops' are sadly few and far between...

Plenty of soulless Dealerships around though :blast

I know which I prefer... :thumb

Luckily we have a few still about, but dying out sadly:(

Real emporiums of wonder and history:bounce1

.... unlike most BMW Motorrad dealerships who are trading on past glory of the brand, whilst firefighting to sort out the current glitches and quirks:rolleyes:

holy shit! £25K for a 900SS

If it is really up together that price is not unreasonable.

An OK one will cost you around the £12-14K mark, add full engine rebuild would be another £7-10K a full bare chassis re-build very easily another £10K.

I know Petro at http://www.dimarino.co.uk/ they restored a 750SS a year ago, the owner of that had a bill for in excess of £30K plus the cost of the bike. But it was absolutely gorgeous. Worth it.. Oh YES

Made me chuckle looking at the "hall of shame"

Followed one of his links:

Can you check my brakes, seem to have a grinding noise for a while. :blast

Brakes

THAT IS F*CKED.

It's actually a ventilated disk where one outer surface has been completely worn away exposing the webs inbetween the two flat surfaces. OMFG! They share the roads with us......

Bet the caliper looks equally good.....

Great site BTW - "proper".
