What am I doing wrong?

As the title suggests what am I doing wrong? I have a 2610 with v8 loaded with all uk map sets loaded and enabled but last week it failed to find an address. I tried to search by post code/by city/ by country all to no avail.
But then I Pulled out my ace from up my sleave my old sp3 again with v8 loaded punched in the same details and bingo first time straight to it.
So what is going wrong?
any ideas?

What was the address, and how exactly did you try searching for it?
What often gets me is when you're searching for something like "Foobar Street" you just search for "Foobar", even if "Foobar Street" is listed. But sometimes it doesn't find addresses at all, until you find it with some other source, then scroll the map to that address and zoom right in so that it can't complain, then search again and it goes "er, yes, OK, so I do have that address on my books".
