Well that's no good ..Where has all the water gone...????
Ahh thats wher its gone , if you look closely you will see a bead of water ready to drop

Ive dumped the oil in a clean container and even though it looks old it is black and smells like old oil should ( not milky)

While im there I will be looking at a little paint repair...Any ideas ?/?..Tosh..

Yes. Water pump and seals, gaskets and a new crush washer from memory. Give Motorworks a call to source the parts. :thumb

A really good clean back to bare metal for the scabby bits and hammerite smooth silver is about as close as you'll get.

re waterpump

sorry 2 say but yes you need a new waterpump kit.
just peplaced mine last week. not an expensive repair but can be abit fiddley
i would also recommend new r/h case gasket plus seals
and crush washers. if u need any more info i will be more than wellcome to pass onto u the research that i found to be helpfull.
good luck hope this helps you.

Thank You to both of you,
I drove to motor works on wednesday, for a big place it has a very small reception area. Anyhoo I received a seal and shaft pack, studied and studied the chain gang thread and found it fairly easy, I just took my time and enjoyed a beer or three while doing it. It was then I discovered that I needed an engine case gasket.:tears..So I haven't finished the job yet but Ive always got friends on here...Thanks again guys.
