Opposite side to the oil level glass.
Round plug very much like the drain plug but what is it there for ?

It's leaking. Wasn't loose but I tweaked it up a bit anyway.

If it's just a random hole with a plug and sealing washer then I'll have it out next time I change the oil and replace the sealing washer.

Just want to be sure what's behind it.

It's a bit of BMW clever magic. Behind it is a sensor that detects when a bike hasn't been cleaned for ages. Once it has detected a shitty, rusty bike surrounding it, it spits oil out in an effort to arrest the corrosion. Obviously that one has malfunctioned and done its job too late. :D

Good answer but this is clean (relatively speaking), you should see it in the winter. At least the dirt soaks up the oil and stops it dripping on the back tyre.
