to lessen the competition from Garmin 550 and the 660?

Any rumors in the pipline? of a new model with rock steady power supply and the possibility to store tracks is on my wish list.

cheers

ive heard nothing on the grapevine, not that dealers get much of a heads up over internet releases and snap shots!

Nothing as of yet.

Although with the additional software mentioned in this section you may be able to get a Rider 2 doing what you want it to.

Didn't think there was any competion? the zumo's are 2/3 more expensive yet are still by a long way the most popular bike GPS.... It would take alot to offer some concern to garmin..

Not sure what you mean, with features such as MapShare, onboard Itinerary Planning, Latest Map Guarantee, TeleAtlas mapping, quarterly updates combing with Latest Map Guarantee, Trip Logging, Plus Services over you mobile, Help Me!, and many more.... the only thing the TomTom doesnt have that the Zumo does is MP3.

I think you will find the reason Zumo is popular is its supported by BMW and Garmin market this products directly to bikers, TomTom rarely do.
