What shall I do exactly...

Leave the bike and take the battery with you on holiday

Put it in the sun, next to your sunlounger and it won't lose any charge

On your return, reconnect to the bike and the bike should fire up ok and away you go (Oh........you did that and all was fine)

Where's Tarka when you need him

Batterey

If you an't got an optmate just disconnectit same any chance of it going down while your away, but don't forget it's disconnectd when it wont start when you come home!!, that is before you phone the RAC!.

I left my 1100 for seven weeks once, just locked in a garage, started first push of the button when I came back, I shouldn't worry about it.

Going away for 3 weeks to sunny Spain less the bike (The wife won't let me drive it all the way down - not this year but...). What shall I do with the bike during the 3 weeks, shall I remove the battery and leave it on charge or there is no need. Any other tips. Thanks

JC

Unless you suspect a faulty battery or something draining it, forget about it and go enjoy your holiday. :eek

How was the holiday?

Holiday was great, too hot really. The appartment we are staying in does not have air con, so you are talking 30/32 C overnight (spend 1 night on the balcony), during the day it was like 39/42 C, so I did spend a lot of time in the water. 3 weeks and we saw rain only once (enjoyed that actually). I would really like go over there with the bike 1 day, so much to see and the road are great, shame about some of the Spanish drivers...
