What side do you fill your fuel tank from?

Those with a BMW warranty simply call BMW assist when they need to fill up.
 
Can't get any fuel in my bike. It keeps coming out of that bloody hole at the bottom. :blast

Always fill whilst sitting on the bike, that way I can bathe my testicles in unleaded, following the last second splurge.:tears
 
Surely it depends on how many gears you have as to how often you have to fill up?

Does the different grades of petrol change the amount you can get in the tank?

I sometimes leave the fuel cap open on a hot summers day......That way some of the vapours evaporate and it concentrates the petrol......A bit like a Joue(sp.) on Masterchef!:thumb

If I had a '11 plate bike that needed fuel. I would be ringing the dealer to collect it and fill it.

If I had been out on it I may have even considered getting the bike recovered by BMW assist or whatever they call themselves.

If you are paying 14k you expect 14k service and not to need filling it up yourself.

Me as well......................................

My cunning plan here is to only fill it half way.

Then run that half way down to quarter full.

Then fill it up to half way again

Then it only costs half as much as if I were to fill it to the fullness thing.:thumb2

I can see this as a sticky! Got to be a way of saving fuel... Or making money... Surely if you have it half full and run it down to a quarter and fill it to half it would cost one third as much as filling it to the fullness..Not half as much. There's a good one sixth of a tank saving here for nothing:thumb2

Do we need a new thread on ways to fill the tank to save money or is this OK?

have tried from left, right and centre and it's all the same....a little bit like sex

/ at the beginning it feels like you're doing well until halfway through it seems to come to a abrupt end but you hang on for a other while and a bit to really full fill the thing but by the time it's finished you can't remember why you haven't finished half way through....:rob

You need to be careful on extracting or inserting the pump that you don't get any splash back in your eye (a-la Ewan)
