What size

Guys what size please is the nut that holds the power socket on the beak on my 1200gsa?Im in the process of taking the beak off so i can fit my RR oil cooler guard but just cant undo the fcuking power socket nut tried grabbing it with pliers while trying to turn it but no go...............

I haven't a clue what size the nut is but do you really need to take the beak off to fit the oil-cooler guard? I fitted the TT guard on my '09 GS without removing anything.....(well maybe a wee bit of skin from my knuckles.....)

Yep

Iv got the Rugged Roads one,you have to take the beak off to get the guard on,its a pain but it wont go on any other way,just struggling to get the power socket off......

Sucking eggs maybe but can you not just remove the feed and earth cables from the power socket and remove the beak with it the socket still fitted....?

No you cant because it goes through the metal subframe then the beak,i unplugged it but it has to have the large nut removed and taken completely out,sooooooooooo gotta get that nut off........

If you mean the beak aux socket, I think they have a small 'key' to stop the body rotating in the hole. If so, you will need to undo the nut from beheath.
