I taking advantage of the end of season deals and have just paid half price on a Vango Banshee 3 tent, I am now looking for a sleeping bag, I intend using it in Europe between June & October, so not using it extreme temperatures, but I am a big lad so it needs to be roomy, any ideas ?

Hi, sorry cannot help with sleeping bag but can you tell me where you got a banshee 300 for half price? I'm after a couple for my Scout Troop.

Thanks

Nigel

Travelling light -Sleeping bag

I got this one after freezing in the Borders in May and haven't looked back. It packs up small and light The baffle gives those extra inches for larger persons too.

The other half feels the cold more so went for the Snugpak Elite 3, and has found it more than warm enough this year!

It is worth a trawl on the net to find a deal as prices do vary somewhat!

You can get relatively large fleece bag liners that could well be warm enough for Europe in the summer on their own. Tesco do one for under a tenner that's about 7ft long.

My anwser dont bother.

Go with an exped, get a fitted sheet for a thearest mat which will fit the exped, and then get a vango down comforter, it all packs smaller than a sleepingbag, its bigger, its warmer and much more comfortable.
