... amount you would expect to pay for a second hand set of panniers ?

BMW panniers for a 650 GS.

Well Motorworks did have one second hand that I ordered for £50.

I was a little suspicious when it arrived in a package not much bigger than a shoe box!

Opened it to discover it had turned into a battery :(

Phoned Motorworks up and they said they would wait for the guy with the pannier shaped battery to phone them. He never did

Ended up buying the individual bits that I damaged when I tried surfing down the road on my left pannier. :mmmm

Hi Karen,
We looked for some for Allys bike a bit back, they always seemed to be between £175-300 quid on e-bay  depending on condition. Did,nt bother in the end :nenau

Theres some on f650.co.uk for £75 for the pair with frame etc, but they are a bit battered.

I shall take that as a warning then ... I was always told the best things come in small packages :mmmm Perhaps not on this occassion ....

Morning Karen,

I bought the OE BWM panniers for my 650...obviously fitted a treat and are a superb piece of kit. They are not suitable for off road though as the alloy outer skin is quite thin and would dent easily. You pull a little lever inside the panniers and they expand to about 50% bigger if needed. Top kit. I think I paid £300 for them.

Cheers kenny

Thanks kenny :)

Nice picture of the 650 BTW. I've just managed to purchase and fit a new remus exhaust kit on mine... she sounds a treat.

What with the remus and the extra Hella Micro DE lights plus light bar, this bikes costing me an absolute fortune. Worth it though :)

Trouble is I haven't sold the other bike yet :o
