been offered a 80/81 shovel head,not standard been stored for a couple of years,bobbed rear end ,i think it looks naff,no mot etc,but been told loads of £££ spent on the engine i will try to post a pic later.any problems with em thanks.

You need Mutley.....he is our resident shovel expert.... They are not for the faint hearted or mechanically challenged....Shovels are going up in value... Depends on how much it's been fecked about with.... At a guess > 4.5k but less than 7k

sorry i,ve found out its a xlr iron head 1000cc sportster.if that makes any more sense.as you can tell i know naff all about harleys.

Hang on a mo... Xlr you say... Not xlh??? Needs more research the Xlr is rarer...I think...

If it's an XLR it wont be a Shovelhead. The XlR was from the early 60's. it just looks like the shovel head.
