Do they do something different for the 6,000 mile service or have they set the bike up differently on issue and at the 600 mile service.

She had her 6,000 last Friday and suddenly she is a lot free-er, reving nicer, bit more vibration at 90-95, and can run out a lot lot faster...

...previously 110 - 115 indicated was the tops I could get but this evening running back from Holyhead I had a couple of sections where she indicated 120 plus (probably true 55mph) and there is a lovely sweeping hill she was still pulling like a train up at 100 - 105...

...its too instantaneous for just bedding in, they must do something, must talk to the mechanic on Friday...

Don't forget that they would have changed all of the lubricating oils. It's amazing the feeling changing all of the oils makes.

Couple this with as Howard says, balancing of the throttle bodies and possibly even new plugs, that alone would make it feel more free.

When your bike gets to about 15,000 miles then it will really be free, it's about then that it is at it's best, ever!

Mick.

Also Holyhead is a bit of a dump, the bike may have been in a rush to get home:D

AND the wind was behind you, (I also travelled from Holyhead to Chester)
