What's she done.?

Hi Guys,

Help needed here please.

I came home tonight to find G/F in a state. She told me she was "trying" something on MY computer. She works as a support worker and has noticed some of the people she helps have a different display screen than mine.

One in particular has a high contrast black background and next size up icons.
She tried that with mine but forgot how to reverse.

Easy, says I. Just go into the properties display and alter colours themes and resolutions. All okay so far.,,,,but ,,,

When I go to a familiar site(thsi one, of course) the page is totally different to what it was last night and for ever.
I have lost the yellow background and section headers(?)
I have tried to do a colour change to either blue or purple and AVDrider.
No amount of tweaking I have done since enables me to get back what I want to see.

Am I doomed to see a white background on everypage I visit.?
I have also noticed on some sites I frequent that the adverts are missing.
For instance, the Go outdoors page usually has a banner across the top saying GoOutdoors but not now. If I position the mouse pointer I can see a description there.

Hope someone understands this and helps me out.

If all else fails do a "System Reset" to yesterday.

Silly me never thought of that.!

I have noticed the order of question reply has changed now.
I used to have the question and underneath the answer ,,, Now it's other way round.

Will try as suggested and get back .

Guessing Xp?

Right Click on Desktop > Properties

Under the Theme tab, change it to one of the classic/xp themes, and apply.

If its vista / winblows 7 let me know.

I thank you. System Restore worked.

I had to go back to 2nd as she had installed "Tiscali games" and uninstalled them several times over yeaterday and toady.

FYI. Tiscali allow one to play all types of games free for an hour.You either buy game or unistall after playing.
