may and its aonly a may look at getting a cheapish single for the road with a slight bit of green laneing and a trip to morroco to be honest ive never ever looked at these models before as ive allways had the big models before .
but as ive just bought the harley and to be honest i dont need a 1200 adv ,so i thought maybe a 650 dakar ,or even go down the route of an xt660z as i like the look of them .
it will be 90% road and 10% off road
any thoughts appreciated

90% road definatley the Dakar as opposed to any G650 and that's not a bias opinion because I own one or the other:augie

The other opinion I have is .....don't go by other people's opinions....... try them both yourself:blast:D

how big is the bike as ive allways had 1100,1150 ,1200 ,and a 800 gs and they are all what i would call full size bikes ,im 5 ft 11 in ,is it going to be big .tall enough or will i be cramped i dont know any one with a bike local to me to try for size

Dakars/Sertaos are still 200kg bikes
I am 5 11 and they are not at all to tall for me - get all of my feet down- both of um, that is
seem lighter than they are although I have not had to save mine from a drop yet !!!!!!!! = 65/70 to the gallon (so they say)
sevicing is a doggle
I have a DVD Repair manual for yer if yer get one Sir
Join the club Bikes for bikers and not posers :D Cheap as chips against the 1200s - that folk may be giving away in a few year :D
