City Navigator NT Europe v9 (1559MB) supplied with a Zumo......and
City Navgator Europe v9. (2200MB) supplied as an update for a 2610...........:nenau

Our City Navigator NT DVDs include the same detailed maps and coverage areas found on Garmin's City Navigator North America and City Navigator Europe DVDs. The primary difference is the compression technique we use to create these DVDs.
City Navigator NT data is identical to the content on existing City Navigator products, so you can still literally travel to a new city, look up your hotel, restaurants, and other services and use your compatible Garmin GPS to guide you there without stopping for directions. City Navigator NT includes the same fully routable detailed maps.
Since NT data is compressed differently than our other products, it can only be used with compatible Garmin devices. Some versions of City Navigator NT, such as North America and Europe, include traffic data that allows certain units to use traffic receivers.

Does the non-NT version confuse POIs when there are streets with the same name in the immediate vicinity?

Will NT work on a 2610? No not really. We unlocked my 276c to NT mapping (Not a compatible device) and tried it in Scotland. It loaded just fine and looked perfectly on the GPS display, but routing can be bazaar  Trying to find the Falkirk wheel the GPS was leading us all over the place  It was Patto with his 2610 and standard v9 mapping that got us there ;)

Does that still happen? Software v4.00 supposedly upgraded the 276c to accept Garmin's latest map technology, hence the NT mapping is now shown against the 276c on Garmin's website.

Your quite right Ben, I’ve just checked and the 276c is listed as compatible, looking at the NT mapping it says the same thing, compatible.

None the less, routing in Scotland was whacky in places, Route set say Mallaig to Glen Coe, the GPS routed us around the back of Loch Eil on the A861 and over the Corran ferry, instead of via Fort William :blast

You could say, I’ve lost a little confidence :(

That would be the shorter route, not by much granted, but, it's a machine after all.......have you checked your parameters...:nenau

An example being? IYSWIM

Find the Berkshire town of Reading, then look at Kings Road and Queens Road. You'll find both of these just north of the river (in Caversham, Reading) and then again just to east of the town centre of Reading (N51 27.893 W0 57.920 and N51 27.290 W0 58.031 respectively).

Both sets of roads are correct on the map, but all the POIs relating to low numbered street positions show up on the road in Caversham, Reading when they should be on the town centre road in Reading, Reading.

They are correct in V8... Also, try to find a low numbered street address for one of these two roads and see where it always takes you...

Anyone have any ideas??
