I've just received a Garmin 2610 from an Ebay seller I bought using "buy it now" a few days ago....... There were no photo's of it, just a list of the bits to come with it (not everything, hence a good price).....

What I've just removed from the delivery box is a BMW Navigator II, it has the set up disc with it, but the OEM cradle is not there........

Please fill me in on the differences!!!!

I wouls search, but BMW and II are not searchable options.......

Thanks,
Dan

The standard card size on the Nav II was 512Mb and on the Nav II+ it was 2Gb, whereas on the 2610 it was 256Mb.
The Nav II has a pre-loaded list of BMW dealers (which is probably out of date- but you can download them again off the BMW website).
It has a compass page.
There are one or two cosmetic differences.
Basically you have done well out of it.

It has been advertised as a NavII and it had arrived without the BMW cradle one would have gone ballistic.

Okay.... next issue...... I don't have the yellow piece of paper (with various codes) as I do have for my Quest, is the registration code unique to the unit? Can I not use the unit properly without it?! HELP!!!

Garmin might be able to provide a reg, code if there is a serial number on the back of the unit that you can give them. You can unlock the mapping for your Quest to a 2nd unit owned by you FOC so hopefully that should see you sorted out.

AFAIK, the cradle with screws/nuts and power lead is Garmin part, 010-10495-00 (approx £35) .. the cradle has a four hole AMPS pattern, if using RAM mount parts, to attach, use RAM-B-202, but if you want to use with shorter screws, as with the SPIII adaption use RAM-B-202-G1 as the mating fixing kit .. IMV ..its neater and shorter for when you need to get fingers behind the device.

On Sunday I placed an order for the gpsw 2610 motorcycle kit, is it different to the parts list you have kindly provided? Should I have asked here first :o

Dan, it should work as the previous reply is based upon using the OEM cradle .. the gpsw 2610 bike kit has the RAM GA9 cradle which uses a diamond base instead of the round base ..
