What's the ID of a White Power rear spring

I think that I'll chuck a new spring on the rear of my new 'Berg that more suitable for my weight (I usually carry a very heavy rucksack ).

The OE spring is 250mm long - but what's its inside diameter?

I've had the unit off and measured the collar that the spring sits on - 61mm - so I guess it uses 2½" springs (which are readily available in a range of rates). But I see that the shock has to come apart to get the srping off. It's all getting a bit complex and expensive. I think I might start by winding up the pre-load on the standard spring!
