What's the Input Voltage on a Zumo ??

Which input?

The USB connector is 5v. The bike connector is 12v (anyone tried it on a bike with 6v electrics???)

What voltage is the battery?

Just had a look on the Garmin website.....input voltage 12V.

Wanted to know, because I was hoping to use Stumpys Sat Nav connector cable, but on my Navigo Sat Nav which requires a 5V input.....so it looks like I wont be able to use the Stumpy cable as it doesn't convert down to 5V.

Oh well never mind

Get a usb charger for a car cigarette lighter socket - that's got a 5v output and will more than likely run the SatNav.

It'll require a bit of wire chopping and minor bodging though..

The battery is 4.2V, this is the Units voltage. The cradles for car/bike have an input of either 12v or 24v they then drop this down to the voltage the unit runs at.

So if your not using the cradle to power the Navigo, as you say, it won't work :)

It's not been unknown for Quest transformers to flatten batteries, if they're not live switched, as they can be drawing power all the time :(

IIWY I'd use the headstock plug, with that unit, then it's fused and switched.

Yes, good idea John, I was wondering if it would drain the battery. Best to be safe than sorry and use the canbus plug :thumb
