I'll guess at whatever the standard voltage is for them don't know of a Zumo needing a special voltage regulator when charging / connecting to a laptop.
Just had a look on the Garmin website.....input voltage 12V.
Wanted to know, because I was hoping to use Stumpys Sat Nav connector cable, but on my Navigo Sat Nav which requires a 5V input.....so it looks like I wont be able to use the Stumpy cable as it doesn't convert down to 5V.

The battery is 4.2V, this is the Units voltage. The cradles for car/bike have an input of either 12v or 24v they then drop this down to the voltage the unit runs at.
So if your not using the cradle to power the Navigo, as you say, it won't work
Solved the problem I'm going to hard wire this to the battery terminals and rout the cable neatly out of sight then up onto the Adventure screen frame :-
