Mmmm.. Dead Battery..sounds familiar??!!
Warthog, the symptoms you described sounds like my experience recently, however, yesterday the nice man from BWM Assist exchanged my battery as a warrenty claim jobbie, after the bike decided that it didn't want to come out and play anymore.
The original battery was always placed on charge courtesy of an Optimate via the side power connection on the 1150 when the bike was placed in the garage, however, the last few weeks I noticed that whenever I went to disconnect it from the bike before a run, it was always displaying "charge", so this had been an early warning!!
A couple of weekends ago, out on a run, after a cuppa stop, the bike was VERY reluctant to turn over, but when it did the RID clock display had reset to 0:00, yet another warning. Then last Sunday, went to start the bike and it wouldn't turn it over at all. BWM Assist had a listen, took away the battery, and now I have a new 'un..nice!!
