Like the look of the Adventure 'beak extension', but can anyone tell me if it actually serves a usefull purpose protection or otherwise (apart from keeping your pint secure when you're camping :P)?

Have searched threads, but without success so far...

Thanks guys and gals.

Or you could see it as a replaceable item for beak damage, stone chips, etc to safeguard your original beak. That's why i fitted mine - honest as i wouldn't do it because i want an Adventure but can't afford/touch the ground on one

Johnieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

It covers up a nasty scuff I got on the original beak & was much cheaper than replacement/repair. It also looks better with the Adv tank I've fitted.

I read somewhere that it helps to funnel air to the oil cooler... :nod

No beak

I hav`nt got a beak but my best friend Ducky lucky has one and he said its really usefull for eating, and pinching Drakey Lakey`s arse----------- Merry CHRISTMAS-----------Hope we all have a new Adventure in the new year -------------Dog

whats my beak done for me?

Well it's provided somewhere for the amplified Sat Nav antenna to be mounted (after being moulded into the beak of course!)
There's a prize for the first post spotting the other unusual thing about the beak as well!
Happy New Year to all!
Sherps;)

Wot you use to fix it with ? is it on & offable easy ? thankyou please . Dog

Hey you speaka da english or wot?!
Beak was taken to a mates body shop where he filled the holes and sprayed the whole lot in bumper paint
At same time I bonded some M6 nuts to the underside (2 at the front and 2 on the back sides) and then drilled the GS bodywork (no going back at this stage!!) to match these.
The beak was then fixed on from below - why BMW don't do it like this I've no idea
Looks good and lots of people don't even see the difference until its pointed out

Seems like you've answered your own question :D - neat job though - especially the remote GPS aerial - have you found problems with reception anywhere in particular?

Mike:)
