... Ilmberger carbon-fibre hugger was a good buy too

... I'm discounting the factory stuff like servo brakes (I may be 'the' fan!) heated grips and panniers, they were part of the decision to go with a GS in the first place.

... Lemon Item - I probably wouldn't spend good money on a beak protector again

heated grips... not really an accessory but I wouldn't buy a bike without them.
top box... it is never off the bike just so useful and big enough for a family curry
6210 well for longer journeys anyway. Drove Scotland to Mainz without a map
side stand foot extender
clutch lever attachment


and not so useful...

tobinators... didn't do anything for me
baehr/autocom don't use much at all
remus exhaust (came with the bike) looks better but don't see the point really

got my new gsa on saturday !!! havent stopped riding it since

until today that is when the 2007 touratech catalogue thumped onto the mat, so many goodies, such eye-watering prices, so little cash! so i was wondering, what's everyone's favourite / posey / useful / bulletproofing bolt-on from the accessory firms? or the worst investment in time and money?

my wish list is steadily getting longer and longer so I need help with it PLEASE before her indoors catches me ......

Never tried a muff on a bike, sounds like a very dangerous passtime, the things GSers get up to !!!!!

was getting a sore foot from changing gear on my R1100rt, slipped over the gear change a piece of rubber car heater hose, jobs a good un, not a problem on my Gs as it has one of those alloy extenders from NN

My most useful and cheapest accessory must be the ice hockey puck I have screwed onto the bottom of my side stand. Far easier for me to get the bike upright and more stable when parked on soft ground.

hi gazza have a local importer here who makes god stuff as well at great prices check his site, ill be geting my exhaust from himm ive sen the stuff and the dyn reports all good

I run a Remus can with baffle removed and Y piece - it's been on for the past 3years and 35,000kms without any probs.

Def releases a few bhp and also a nice but not anti-social rumble.

cant make me bloody mind up i may run with a stubby and keep the cat (cheapo option) or save up and get the remus and Y piece, which looks good.

Could not agree more - IMHO Chunk's stuff is much better made.

Just fitted Remus headers to my Remus can and really like the rumble. Pops and crackles when changing down as well which is cool. I have HID bulbs ready to fit and having followed Wapping on Sunday night back from Thetford I am sure they will be a favourite mod.

Sargent seat got it's first run on Sunday and already feels like a good purchase.
