Managed to get my new discount Tourances on but couldn't get them balanced today.

Anyone know where I can get them balanced only locally?

Ta.

Howdoo...

I use Hunters on Westgate Road, cheap and chearful.

Dont know if that's local enough for you:thumb2

What's the going rate for the pair? Mine are bordering on illegal now and need changing asap. Did you get the older ones that last longer?

Got a pair from Busters on their recent cheapo deal (£120), turned out to be the EXPs, but I thought I'd give then a try.

The usual place I use for tyre fitting has a new machine in and hasn't got the right adapters yet :( so fitted only at the moment.

Off work each Friday at the moment so I'll have to sort out the balancing then.

balancing wheels

Hunters haven.t got the tools to balance back wheels only the front
but Ken johnson tyres southwick sunderland has

As long as the front is balanced there's no real need to bother with the rear as long as it's fitted properly with the fitting mark at the valve.:thumb2
Just think of the unsprung mass at the rear wheel -do you thing that a couple of grammes here or there will make any difference ?

Ride-in ride-out at M&S is just under £200. Hunters recommended the guy two doors down at another £48 so they are all looking just shy of £200 all in.

Worth giving Paul a ring at Hedleys tyres in Shildon, 01388 777346.

Pauls a biker, takes great care with fitting and balancing, highly recommended.

Tell him Clarky suggested you ring him ;)

Any car tyre depot can do the rear wheel, if it's a 1200 - they have the adaptors for car alloys what have big 'oles in the middle...and usually will do it for "a drink" :augie

Feck ... £340 on insurance, £200 on tyres. Fecking tax and MOT next week and prob a new rear disc to boot. Arghhhhhhh. :blast

Taking the wheels to National in Newton Aycliffe tomorrow.

£7 for the balance.

Thanks for the recommendations.
