My new 2021 GSA 1250 has no balance weights on the wheels. Neither does my new honda CRF 250.
Is it normal to have some wheels that dont need balance weights or have my wheels not been balanced ?

does it vibrate or shimmy at any speed ?

If not it does not need balancing

Ive had it a couple of times with new tyres where they have not needed any balancing

Rare but it does happen

Normal to have weights. Rear often has no weights becuase most shops don't have the right spacer to fit the GS rear wheel. Dirt bike is different because you take the tyres off an on more frequently, so more common not to see weights. You can check easily by taking front off and trying it on a balance stand - i bought one to check by rear wheel balance as it always comes back without weights

Wheels are sometimes a little out and tyres a little out - a real good tyre fitter will use the offsets to try and balance the wheel without using weights by moving the tyre on the rim.
Depends on time, cost and skill.

I have a balance stand and check mine when the wheels get removed for various reasons.

Well my GSA rides smoothly at all speeds so i suspect its balanced.
However my 250 Honda does an odd thing at about 35 mph. Its as though the bike is riding over ripples in the road, the bikes bobs up and down. Its OK at other speeds. It did exactly the same on the first set of tyres, both tyres have no balance weights
