Second vote for a word with Mikey. He's done umpteen quality restorations. If/when I do the wheels on my 100GS, that's the route I'll be taking.

Last time Mikey did a GS he had the wheels done by an wheel builder - they are a specialist job and even folk like Devon rims will not touch them.
Just cut out the middleman and go straight to someone who understands the problem.

I used this guy - www.drwheels.co.uk - to completely rebuild the spoked wheels on my R1200C. Excellent job. Based in Devon.
