Does anyone have any recommendations as to where I can get my R100GS wheels rebuilt? I'd prefer up north somewhere, but I guess anywhere'd do.

Anyone had theirs rebuilt and had a good job done?

I got the LegoBike`s wheels rebuilt with Akront rims and stainless spokes by Alf Hagon dahn sarf.

Only cost just over a tenner for door to door delivery.

Absolute top quality job :thumb

But are we talking BMW tubeless rims here? I thought that few wheelbuilders would tackle them as you need to jig them - or is that a load of bollox?

you don't need a jig, but it's a lot easier if you use one apparently.

devon rim co. have one & build a lot of wheels for sherlocks.

Do it yourself, it really isn't that difficult!

This is a good thing - it stopped the bearing mating surface in the hub being damaged by any of the work and coating that was done, no fun picking out powder coating so the bearings will fit, it'll also leave a ragged edge which will let in moisture etc, and make the coating lift off in the future .

Plus once you remove the inners, you shouldn't re-use them again, (in a perfect world).

Oh Wise One

Thanks for your 'inevitable' input Oh Steptoe :rob
I did indeed replace bearings and shells....................oh they do look nice :D
