A number of us will be trying to emulate the excellent ride out held earlier in the year across the Scottish boarders with some off road thrown in.
This time the starting place will be Hexham, Northumberland on the 23rd of September (11.30am)
There will be a couple of off road sections of about 10 miles the rest will be back roads.
If you are not into off roading then there will be a road only route to follow where we can join up after the muddy bits.
Details to follow, hope to see you there.

Feck. A week too soon for me I'm afraid. I come back from my hols that day.

It's all in the preparation.............. Load the bike up before you go off on your hols and when you get back.................

..............park the car, let Christine handle the washing, kids, dog, etc and ....

Hop on the bike and ............... Vroo-o-o-m! :moped:

(please don't show this to Christine :surrender )

Nah. "I come back from my hos that day" as in "I get the ferry from Ijmuiden"...

Mort, Sorry I won`t be there this time but I only get home from France that day and then I`ll have the washing to do etc................well pass it on the Bev anyway. Hope the trip goes well and enjoy the late summer weather ! Give the rest my regards.

I think someone was at the Inn on Saturday night trying to tell me about this.
Doesn’t look like I can make this one either.

A few of us have been out today and covered the route for next weekend. It's safe to say that this can be done on normal tyres as none of us had knobblies on and it p1ssed down all day:(

The route is not too long but covers some 35miles off road across Northumberland joined up by some wonderful lanes giving us breathtaking views on the way. The off road sections are on hard tracks not muddy fields or bogs.

We will be leaving Waitrose car park in Hexham at 11am sharp on Sunday the 23rd of September, if you are joining us but not doing the off road bits please let me know and I will try my best to furnish you with meeting points along the way. This will have to be done in advance as mobile phones don't work out there.

See you next weekend.

Bump :D anyone coming?

Possibly - I'll see how I am after tomorrow's West Coast run.

If I turn up I'll be on my 100GS and intending to do the off-road bits.

Will you be meeting at the Wentworth Cafe at the far end of the Waitrose Car Park ?

Bob.

Well, I made it to the Northern Section 'off road' run - and a very good day was had by all (well, apart from those who got left behind :augie).

I have put some photos on the Northern Section site under "Wheels across the wall" if you wish to see something of what we got up to.

Thanks to Mort, Petcul and Aldie for organising, leading & being Back Marker on the run. :thumb2

Special mention should also be made of 'Georgia' who saw it through despite being terrified of dropping her lovely 1200GS :bow:bow:bow

Bob.

Thanks for coming, I'm glad you enjoyed it as you brought the only "wheels across the wall" :bow

See you again
