when hard drives go bad

Maybe you are onto something

Hi
Sometimes if its a USB external drive the USB can develop problems with the drive. Try taking the drive out of its external box and set it up as a Slave drive in the computer. I assume you have a free IDE or sata cable.
Good Luck

Spin Rite

Well the only answer is a program by GRC called Spin Rite. It works on the lowest possible level, DOS, and its the bestsolution for your problem. If Spin Rite cannot fix it its down for the count. Goto: http://www.grc.com/sr/spinrite.htm
If you need the program email me and I might be able to find a copy for you.

Safe Riding
