Hi guys,

I've got some leave to burn up and some airmiles to use. Both must be done before the end of November (for reasons of which I won't bore you with).

So I've booked a trip to Rome for the 14th of November, and back for very late on the 20th. Believe it or not, I've never been.

The intention is to do some sightseeing in Rome, to hire a bike bright and early on the 17th, and to then bimble around; the direction of the bimble being slightly dictated by the weather. At the moment, the Amalfi coast looks inviting, with the forecast for lots of sunshine and +15 or thereabout.

But I was wondering whether the knowledgeable folk here have other suggestions.

I don't want to do mega miles; but what I do want to do is to combine some good roads, some good photography (he says), and some meetings with some locals.

I would be really grateful for ideas - and if anybody is around those dates, please give me a shout. The wine will be on me.

Thanks.

Oh, Amalfi coast!
You should go there.
One of the most famous streets in the world -Amalfitana.
You can stay in Sorrent(nothcoast-shadow)
better Amalfi, Positano but cheaper Maiori or Minori
It iis a bit more than 200km from Rome.
On yor way down you can find Monte cassino-historic place-very impressive.
Another scenic way fom Rome is dir. east into Appenines or north-Fara di Sabina.
Riding a bike in Rome should be like MX on road.
Once I want to do this-scary from the outside view but
I suppose fantastic inside the the crowd.
Have a good time!
mike
