Where can I get a motorcycle powerlead

Being a smart bastard. I got a friend to get my 2610 in Hong Kong. Got everything for less than 600, however got the car version so I don't have a bike power lead.

I've now mounted the Touratech mount on my handle bars and was hoping to use the car power supply system until I got the bike systemhowever can't connect the car power lead because it's to bulky.

Can anyone advise who, or where I can buy a bike power lead.

Try here http://www.gpsw.co.uk/. Do a search for part no. 010-10495-02 - power / Audio cable for 2610 £20.50 or £ 24.08 in vat.
Carriage is £4.00 for next day delivery. You might also consider an external antenna part no. ANT-19-MCX £30.66 inc vat (see picture below).
Power lead comes with a din socket for audio take off and an inline fuse holder. The cables are very fine so I crimped them onto some thicker gauge cable and connected it directly to the battery.

I would have thought he'd do it the same way everyone else does? by loading the european software onto it ?

...which retails at $624.99 (about £350) from Garmin (Euro CN v6 - inc with UK 2610)!

I'm delighted for you - but there's more to this than you're letting on!

If the unit was new and sold by a Garmin dealer in Hong Kong, it should have the Pacific basemap. The European version is only sold by Garmin in Europe.

The Garmin Motorcycle Mounting Kit for the SP 26xx series includes a bracket to hold the GPSR on the bike, complete with a set of fasteners that fit a Ram-Mount backing plate, and a power cable that has a rubber (rather than plastic) cover on it, suitable for motorcycle use. List price is USD $50.

You can also purchase the Motorcycle Power/Audio Cable by itself, but it only costs USD $15 more to get the complete kit with the mounting bracket, fasteners, and the cable.
