Where do these spacers go?

I've fitted a set of Touratech pannier frames to my 04 GS. In the process I have found myself with two cylindrical spacers with no home. They came from somewhere inside the seat unit and I am baggered if I can work out where they came from. You know when you dismantle something and a loose part clatters down inside, you find it but there's no obvious site for it. I have two of these, cylindrical, about 10mm o/d, 6mm bore and 6mm thick (these are impressions of the size, not measurements, they are down stairs in my toolbox at the moment). Just to eliminate one source of confusion they are definitely not part of the Touratech kit, but part of the bike.

If they're what I think they are, they fit between the chassis rails and the pillion grab rail side mounting points.

Not sure if I've explained that terribly well - if you can't make head or tail of it let me know and I'll take some photo's

Scottch, Clive, you are top men, that looks very like it could be the solution. I'll whip it all of again before I go to work in the morning and see if I can't assemble it properly now.
