Hey guys,
I'm finally back on two wheels - well almost. Just bought a GS and it came with two new tires that needed to be mounted. So I took it to Keary's knowing I'd pay too much, but this one time, that's going to have to be OK.

But moving forward - where's the best places to get tires mounted?

Also, are there any good shops for motorcycle supplies - I'm thinking motorcycle oil, helmets and other bike gear and accessories?

thanks,

tim

Thinc2, d'ya mean there's almost two wheels ?

We need pics of yer new GS. :clap

I PRESUME YOU WENT FOR THE MORE REFINED 11xx SERIES. :augie

I'm almost back on two wheels because it's going to spend a little more time in the shop getting a few items sorted out.

Pics will have to wait - I need to give it a good going over first and then touch up a few things here and there.

BUt yes, good taste prevailed and i stayed with the 1150, sans servos.

And in the blue/white color which I've never had and always admired. :)

Thanks for the recommendation :thumb2 Fergus really helped me out.

This weekend the bike got a serious cosmetic facelift, with all rust getting sanded and repainted. Between Fergus and some elbow grease (a lot of elbow grease), I finally have a mechanically and cosmetically presentable bike:

Look for the ADV stickers :) Do we have UKGser stickers?

I'm ready. Cleaning is kind of a one time thing - good to do when you first get the bike in order to get to know it better.

I've got an Odessy battery coming in tomorrow and I should be all set.
