I am currently in the job market and it is likely that I will have to move the family back from Ireland to the UK.

Although London is not top of my list of potential locations, I am in discussion about a job based in NW5, wherever that is.

Question is I'm pretty sure I couldnt afford to live in NW5 so where would be a good spot to look for a house? I need four bedrooms (and a big garage obviously) and would be prepared to commute by GS or cycle up to 20 miles.

So geezers what location, location, location do you think would fit the bill? House prices?

If you like the Irish style of life and the people you could always try Kilburn.

Ooooo NW5.....Cambden town, Highgate, top end of Regent's park...very nice.....

You've got the A1 coming down through NW5 so transport not a major prob.....locally Hornsey would be cheaper but rougher.....thgen wood Green, Tottenham etc (ewww!)

Further north, Potter's Bar Hatfield , Welwyn Garden city all have their nice areas.

Try 'up my street' as a guide to prices.

HTH

Thanks all

used to live in Waltham Cross years ago but that was a right dump, and full of southerners.

Up my street sounds good - will check it out.
