Stupid question I know but I can't find the answer by searching the site and I don't have the handbook at the mo. Is it under the tank covers?

You can't find a fusebox because it doesn't have a fuse box, the 1200s use the canbus system which does away with the need for fuses and works by magic.

Ahh. So when the front light is not working, but a new bulb does not solve the problem you check what next?

I've only been back from Morocco for a week or so and my guess is I've got dust in some contacts somewhere (rear bulb said it had failed on the trip but just needed re-seating). Pointers??

Have you changed the lamps in both front headlights?

There are two, one for dipped beam and one for main.

Theres also a small sidelight which can blow and cause a warning.

The blown lamp warning will NOT reset until you run the engine after changing the lamp. Apparently the genie that does the magic with the canbus gets woken up by the noise when the engine starts.

Apologies if this is sucking eggs.

I've been here. Just running the engine does it - . It drove me mad until I got the answer from this site.
Lloyd.

Doohhh! That genie and the pixies that run the canbus!! Why can't they wake up when I turn the key. They've got 12V shoved up their arses, what more do they want!

Problem solved, thanks guys. :thumb2

Only realised that mine had "fixed" itself after the third new bulb and adjusting the light so that high beam was level with dip.:blast
