Which are cheaper - BMW or Touratwat rocker covers?

Having scuffed one of my covers on my 08 GSA, I was wanting to replace them - Would I just be better off going for the Touratwat / Wunderlich options (£140 / £122 repectively) - Any ideas if the OEM items are better / cheaper?

Any thoughts from the great and good appreciated

Did the same on rhs yesterday no speed just went over on a muddy layby totaly feked the alu protector breaking the front fixing 98 + vat for replacement . now gone for a pair of these had good reviews on this forum

Machine Art from Nippy Normans

I would second the recommendation for these. I have had a couple of minor incidents with them and there is not a mark and they have protected the cylinder heads 100%. Unlike the BMW version which disintegrated in a very slow, controlled drop.

I came off yesterday on sheet ice - v.quick smash down on RHS at 5mph turning into junction. The OEM part did the job - its now scraped and I need to bend it back into shape but protected the cylinder head. £62.01 inc vat for RHS protector from GSA (Dec '06 model). Chris.

Has anybody been down on their left hand side and then changed the guards - If you have - I would happily relieve you of your RH guard for a few quid !

The cover actually snapped just beside each of the three bolts that hold it in place. It was a week after I got it serviced by BMW, I reckon they might have over tighten them slightly while carrying out the service.
