I am considering a new can for 1200 GS triple black. Preferably simple installation by myself (slip on) and would like to stay road legal leaving baffle in. Worth changing or leave well alone?

If you want to stay road legal the original is great.
I'd recommend the German/Dutch BOS cans. But the point of them is that you can save some weight (like you'd notice...) and remove the baffle and get more sound!

Thanks and i half expected a reply like yours as the original is pretty good. Open minded to all good ideas and will watch this thread with interest.

tbh and this is just my opinion the standard can wiyh the exhaust flap is quite rorty and on a long journey gets a bit annoying.i have just fitted a remus hexacone and with the baffel in it is quieter than standard but still a bit gruff:D i have heard that the akra can is the same ie quieter than standard with the baffel in.

Beowulf... Nice sound with baffle in... Great without... And a discount from being a sponsor here...

I've just bought a triple black as well and been thinking the same about a slip on can, but after doing a couple of hundred miles I actually like the sound of the standard can, I would probably change for a full system rather than just end can anyway.
