Which charger?

I pick up my 06 1200GS next Saturday and have started to wonder about some practicalities - like keeping the battery charged. I've got an Optimate III and I'm guessing that I can use that if I use the direct battery connection. But if I want to use the BMW socket, is there any difference between the official BMW charger and the one for sale on Nippy Norman's site?
