Due so creative household accounting involving lying to the wife about the price of a new washing machine and TV (with collusion from a very nice bloke at Comet :bow ) I now have the necessary £500 for a nice new weight reducing power & torque increasing exhaust system. But which one to get?

I have a 2006 12GSA with (according to some) girly GS expandable panniers, so do I go for the Remus Ally + pipes or splash the extra for Carbon or Ti? Di Need an extender for teh pipe to bring it past the pannier?

I've also seen the new conical job, is that worth the extra cash.

I need answer fast before the wife finds out or I find something else to spend the cash on!!

The only way to go is Bos .

The only system to my knowledge with fatter headers, which makes all the difference :D

Do a search on this site on 'Bos' and see what you think :thumb

Andres

PS Fits fine with GS panniers

How much and which one?

Fowlers are the importer and 'I think' the complete system is now around £450ish.

Go to 'Catalogue' on the web site and choose R1200GS for all the low down and piccies. FWIW I have the SS can.

While you are there check out the piccies of the black R1200S  :thumb

I use remus headers and have had a few end cans fitted to them, currently the BMW Akra but that wll blow your budget.

Worth checking the For Sale and wanted section of the site seeing you have sponsor status you could post a want add.

Noticed a full Staintune system recently which might be of interest. Check here

I've got the remus headers on the way to go with the can already fitted.
Early xmas present from me to me, wifes buying the fastaway footpegs although she does'nt know it yet. :D

Thunder, is it a straight forward job to install the headers. :nenau

Yes fitted mine the day I picked the bike up, nothing to complicated but it's simper if you unplug the 02 sensors ather than count the numbr of turns you need to prevent the wires getting twisted.

Worth rembering that you need to use the bikes original bsuh to hang the back of the headers, I forgot that and caused lots of confusion when Big Simp went back to the dealers complaining about an incomplete header.

Have fun, you'll love the Fastways, I got fed up waiting for a set to appear and ordered them from NN a few weeks back. :D

bos exhaust

went out today a tried my new full bos system wow what a difference.
from 5000rpm onwards the thing just leaps off.
took the db eater out aswell sound is amazing have been blating all afternoon.
Got it from Wollastones retail price of £595 paid £505 nice guys there.

I have a Laser Duotech full system, titanium can. Looks nice - smaller and slimmer than original - weighs a lot less, sounds great at higher revs and full throttle while not at all offensive at pootling speeds (so you don't annoy everyone in villages unless you want to). Noticeably more power, too.

I wouldn't have bought it unless I was using insurance money to replace a slightly damaged original. But I'm pleased I did.

I too would have had to lie like a cheap Japanese Rolex to the Missus about how much it cost and where the money came from had I not been using insurance money to replace a slightly damaged original. But we've all been there, and I would have done.

Fixed. :thumb

DO shape up,old love: "I too would of had to lie blah blah"

You're spot on, though.

I reckon the fibbing is just part of the game. I've STILL not told her that I've bought a new bike yet when I rode past her and the kids coming into the driver yesterday she didn't bat an eyelid!

Either she knows and is keeping the joke until it is casting up time or she really doesn't care. Either way I'm onto a winner.

I think the Bos will win if I can get a decent discount from someone ...... mind you I've seen a nice sheep
