Picking up a 1200GS soon, had a large Givi tank bag on my 1150GS for years but it just won't fit. Looking at Tourtech or Wunderlich, anybody tried either or are there alternatives, ( I don't fancy a Baglux one)

I'm a big fan of Baglux tank covers & bags.

Most of the other ones last a couple of years and then the 'lastic stretch so they flop over like a camel's hump.

The Baglux bags do look as if they were designed by a biker.

I like a tank bag for all the essentials that get taken off the bike and brought with me into every coffee stop.

cheers

Thanks Guys - I've now got a choice of 5 bags instead of the 2 I was thinking of to start with which makes it more difficult to decide, still the more info the better eh.

I had an SW Motech Quicklock tankbag on my K1200S and it was the most convenient tankbag I've ever used and it didn't touch the paintwork.

It was just the price which put me off when I bought my GS and I bought the FAMSA as it was £70 cheaper.

The BMW one? It's plenty big enough. You should be able to pick one up in good condition on eBay for <£100

The BMW bag I saw at the dealers did'nt have that small pocket thing on it , is it an extra, will it clip on and off?

I have a similar BMW tankbag for the 2008 onwards GSA shaped tank, the small 'bumbag' is supplied with it and clips off if not required.

If buying a tankbag, make sure it fits your model and year of bike as the tank design changed when they got a minor facelift.
