Which memory card?

I can use memory cards of up to 1Gb in my new toy and they can be either MMC or SD cards. Which type would you advise using? Is data reading faster on one type than the other? Which make of either type of card is most reliable? Thanks in advance

IMHO I would suggest the high speed (60x or 150x) SD card. If you end up using them for data that you change, ie photos, music etc. you will really appreciate the faster transfer times. MMC will fit SD slots but not necessarily vice versa (MMC are thinner) I suspect that SD and mini SD are the way forward.

Thanks Gents, any further comments and opinions will be gratefully received. By the way, the primary and possibly only use for the cards is to store and use maps for my satnav toy.
