I've got an old acer laptop, a 522txv, i have installed win xp on it, but its as slow as hell, 20 mins, yes 20 mins to boot up, it was originally made for win 98, but now the support for this product has gone so it was time for an upgrade, but the laptop , cant hack it.
It has only got 192mb of ram.
i was gonna try linux or ubuntu, will that help?is this less power hungry than xp?
