Why does the BMW need a 'special BMW box' to alter the fueling.........

When the KTM950 simply needs a free wire disconnection??

Ok so the BMW has fuel injection and the KTM is carb fed but surely BMW should justify the charge for the 'special BMW box'.

Depends what model BMW. On an 1150 it is just moving a wire to alter the fuelling.

The box removes the wire or you simply disconnect the said wire???
Also........yes i am referring to the 1150.
