Are so many lovely airheads turned into cafe racer/scrambler/bobber/flat tracker/cutom nonsense? They look the same. Look impracticle, uncomfortable and are all priced ridiculously. Who buys them? Who rides them?

I think i know the answer but it just seems a waste.

Some folks are trying to make a quick few quid on the back of the hipster thing, anything with chopped off mudguards and a brown seat is a bobber/cafe racer custom and so worth a fortune of course

Thing is ive never seen them on the road they look awful i certainly will not buy one cant go touring with them .Also not worth the money .

Why is every fecking bike for sale been found in a barn?

some of them are done well. i have one in progress but it was my dads old bike that got nicked, joyridden and wrecked. no interest in the expense to restore to original, lets face it theyre not the rarest of bikes. i wouldnt chop up a nice example but the fact that theres so much interest in airheads is driving the value of our original examples up, and ensuring an ongong supply of pattern and genuine spares at reasonable prices.

You have to remember these folks earn more in a day than I earn in a year.... for them the price of an 'airhead boober' is pocket loose change. Some folks impulse buy £10,000 watches at the airport because their plane is late.... unto them that hath.
