Why the deeper posts on UKGser?

I've just taken the plunge and bought a load of happiness for my life, which is really useful for getting more shags...

However, this has coincided with a sudden increase in the depth of the posts on UKGSer, so much so that when I open up the site I get depressed by everyone else's unhappiness, whereas I now want to see something useful....

Is there any way to swtich the depressing posts off?
