Widows 8 Not Compatibe With Canon G9 Camera

Ive copied this over from the photography section

I bought a new laptop yesterday which runs Windows 8 and it won't allow me to upload photos from my G9. I've loaded the Canon Zoombrowser programme but when I plug my camera into the laptop, nothing happens.

Whilst trying to solve the problem, I discovered a message saying that the camera wasn't compatible with Windows 8.

I've checked the Canon website for downloads and can't see anything that would solve this.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated :beerjug:
 
I've managed to download the images from my SD card using Picasa :beerjug:
