Will a 1200 Battery go into an 1150?

Does anyone know if a 1200 GS Adventure battery will fit an 1150GS (non-adventure)? Both have ABS. I've just been offered one by a friend. Mine's knackered and his is nearly new. Thanks in advance.

The 1200 battery is physically smaller; has a smaller capacity and the terminal polarity is reversed - otherwise it should be OK.

The positive and negative are located on different sides of the battery. If you look on Tanya Batteries website they will give you the spec to compare. Where in the south are you, I have a really good 1150 spare battery
